    Hello Community

    You know this for sure.

As mentioned in an article about MQTT, can I use the Zenner Lora Gateway locally without loading data to a cloud?
I would like to process the read data (MQTT/BACNET/API) locally and the Lora Gateway seems very nice to me. Above all, my nodes are primarily Zenner meters (water/energy).

Thank you very much for your input

    Hello Fabian,

a direct local forwarding of the data received by a
ZENNER IoT Gateway is not possible
and at least not currently planned. Since the purchase of a ZENNER GatewayPLUS always gives you preconfigured access to the ZENNER Connect LoRaWAN network , this must be stored accordingly in the ZENNER Datahub. But it is possible without any problems, as described in
the blog post mentioned above, sending the data via MQTT to a corresponding
endpoint and then further processing it there.
I hope that answers your question? ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hello @Laxr7,

what @schwooz has already answered above is absolutely correct๐Ÿ‘, but perhaps a little additional information: The operation of the platform is BSI and ISO/IEC 27001 certified, data security is guaranteed, among other things, by a multi-client structure and encrypted data transmission and the company’s own data center is located in Germany, so not outside the EU, for example.

    Warm regards ๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™‚๏ธ

      Hello everyone
      @schwooz , @Community-Admin

thank you very much for the information

If I understand this correctly, the data from the gateway is loaded into the Zenner Connect Cloud and made available.

How much does the Zenner Connect service cost? Or is this included with the purchase of a gateway with a term?

      Best regards

        Hi @Laxr7 ,

you’re welcome๐Ÿ™‚. Yes, you understood that correctly.

Access to the ZENNER Connect network and therefore also to the platform is always included when purchasing an IoT GatewayPLUS, currently for an initial period of 24 months and integration of up to 50 devices, see also at https://iot.zenner.shop/en/zenner-iot-plugandplay. A corresponding extension is then possible. You can then either add devices yourself on the platform or have them added via the booking service for a small additional charge if you order them from the ZENNERShop. With the appropriate device keys, you could easily integrate your existing meters there. May I ask where these are currently integrated?

As far as the specific price is concerned, it ultimately depends on which gateway you want. Here is the current status for a pure gateway purchase incl. Connectivity without sensors:

        • GatewayPLUS SMART >> 125 โ‚ฌ
        • GatewayPLUS Indoor >> 369 โ‚ฌ
        • GatewayPLUS Outdoor >> 989 โ‚ฌ
        • Extension of network usage for 1 additional year + additional 50 devices>> + 60โ‚ฌ

        Best wishes ๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™‚๏ธ

        Hello @schwooz

Thank you very much for your explanation

The meters are not yet integrated.

I’d love to take a look at it.

But first I have to look into the whole topic a little more.

        Thank you very much

        Greetings

You’re welcome, I saw from the other discussion that you’re probably a little further along with it now. I wish you continued success and maybe you can tell me how things went ๐Ÿ™‚

        Best regards

    Hello @schwooz

We have now integrated several (approx. 120) Zenner meters (water and heat meters). I think the devices are really great

      Hello @Laxr7,

      That sounds great! ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘
May I ask where exactly the meters are now integrated? In the ZENNER Datahub or somewhere else?

      Best regards

They are integrated into 2 different gateways without Zenner Datahub.

        Best regards๐Ÿ™
